Some where in between

This little angel

December 6, 2008 · 10 Comments

dsc00427Is waiting for Christmas and why should there be presents under the tree that she can’t open.  We had the Christmas parade last Saturday in town which was great bigger than last year but have to ask why no Jesus there, little miss even bought palm branches to wave(slight mix up with Palm Sunday and the word parade I am thinking)so next year must think about what could be done  to fix that.

Haven’t blogged or scrapped now for about 2 months just have not felt like it.

Luke has been back from uni about 6 weeks now and got an A average for his first year we went out to dinner on Friday night to celebrate to a nice cafe in Ohope called the Quay.  Poor Luke is pretty shattered just worked about 45 hours this week he is working at Blueberry corner picking strawberries, watering, weeding and packing blueberries. Yesterday he had his first surf at Ohope which he really needed as he tells me all he has been thinking about is work.  He has a flat organised in Wellington in Northlands which he starts paying rent for in January. So will be looking fora part time job there round end of January.

My Mum has been visiting from Auckland I had not seen her for 6 months so enjoyed her visit wish she would move her.  We shopped, had coffees and even saw a movie on Friday the Duchess really enjoyed it, she really enjoyed the ohope craft market yesterday before she left for home.

Dannielle has passed her NCEA level 1 but she is also working on completing some extra maths so she can get another stand alone  certificate in Maths ,the incentive being a laptop(combinedchristmas and birthday as well).

And me well no scrappin but I have been doing a photography course since coming back from Wellington which I  have really enjoyed.  We have an exhibition of our work on the 17 December.  I have also had some fun helping out one of Glenns clients who owns Country villa she makes the most devine biscotti, cookies and at the moment mini christmas cakes and gingerbread men.

Well thats it for me for today enjoy Sunday.

Sounds like life has been much too busy with the important things in life to find the time to blog or scrap anyway, Dianna.

Congratulations to Luke and Dannielle on their fabulous results!

Yeah, I have really noticed that with Christmas parades and decorations in general. It is bizarre because the feast is Christ – mas. That is what it is all about and the carols, Nativity scenes and plays etc. are my favourite part, not the Santa and jingle bells gig, lol.

Hey, wishing you every success with your exhibition. Am sure it will be!

It is a VERY sad day when Jesus is missing from the Christmas parade. The fact they are always called “Santa” parades puts me off going. I haven’t taken my boys to one, call me a mean mum but I really have a problem with people removing “Christ” from “Christmas”.

Congrats to Luke & Danielle on their excellent results, you must be so proud.

Hey you, I wondered how you were getting on. What a neat idea for the exhibition, would love to see more of your work. Well done to Luke and Danielle on those results. I loved the duchess and thought it was a great movie.

Gee I wish I was more onto in reading blogs more of late as I would have liked to have seen your exhibition … hope it went well. Good on the kids for doing so well – Northland is nice and close to the uni for Luke. Mind due the transport system in Wellington region is far superior than anything else in the country so it does not really matter where you live down there.

If I dont see you have a neat Christmas …
